The Dragline Bucket, manufactured for Dragline Excavators, is used for excavating, transporting, and discharging materials such as loose soil, coal, sand, or gravel.
Bucket: Generally large, made of steel (Hardox, etc.), and equipped with special teeth.
Drag rope: Used to pull the bucket forward.
Hoist rope: Lifts the bucket.
Boom: Long arm that carries the bucket.
Dumping mechanism: Allows the material in the bucket to be discharged.
1. The bucket is lowered to the ground where the material will be loaded.
2. The drag rope is pulled, scraping the ground and collecting the material.
3. The bucket is raised with the hoist rope.
4. The bucket is moved to the desired location.
5. The material is discharged by opening the bucket or by pulling the hoist rope in reverse.
This process is repeated, allowing for the rapid transportation of large amounts of excavation or ore.
• Coal mining (especially in open pits)
• Dam and canal projects
• Large land leveling
• Port expansions and dredging
• Large-volume excavation and transportation operations can be completed in one go.
• Can excavate and transport materials from distant locations.
• Highly effective in soft and medium-hard soils.
• Can perform more work with less fuel than other excavators. High efficiency.
